About IRMA Gujarat

IRMA was established in 1979 at Anand, Gujarat with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC), the Government of India, Government of Gujarat, the erstwhile Indian Dairy Corporation and the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB). The rationale behind its installation had to do with providing management education, training, research and consultancy support to co-operatives and rural development organizations in India.Born out of a maverick’s dream IRMA is, today, at the forefront of professionalising the development of India’s rural sector. Over the years it has provided management training, support and research facilities to students committed to rural development drawing, in the process, co-operatives, non-government organisations, government development agencies, international development organisations, and funding agencies towards it.

Admission Process and Eligibility

Admission Process and Eligibility

IRMA will use CAT/XAT and IRMASAT scores for admission to PGDRM programme.
All applicants for IRMA Admissions have to additionally appear for “IRMASAT” – The IRMA Social Awareness Test.

PGDRM participants are selected on the basis of the above mentioned Admissions Test, Group Activity, and Personal Interview.

It is compulsory for applicants to appear for CAT/ XAT and “IRMASAT” of IRMA.

Events

Jatra:The annual students’ festival at IRMA is a once-in-a-lifetime event allowing students to celebrate the journey of life. During the event, all the hostel blocks compete for the prestigious Jatra trophy in the true spirit of sportsmanship. The festival is a marathon of inter-block competitions and lasts for three days during which the students get ample opportunities to showcase their talent, and creativity.

Milaap:Milaap is the largest event to be hosted at IRMA. During this two-day alumnus meet students from past batches get together to relive their days at IRMA. The host batch takes pride in organising a plethora of exciting activities to welcome the alumni and their families, including a colourful cultural show and a classroom session with their old teachers.
